Welcome to the new blog by Nest Egg Assets, The Goose and Gander. We are so excited to begin sharing knowledge, news and insights with the friends and family we’ve met throughout our financial journey. We sincerely hope that you find this blog interesting and useful, but most importantly actionable. At Nest Egg Assets, our focus is helping you build a bigger nest so that you can help yourself and others. As our nest has grown, we want give back and help others because it takes a team. We couldn’t have gotten to where we are without our friends, family and fellow investors, our team!
Why are we doing this? And why you should care.
We believe that everyone can be, and should be, financially educated, free and wealthy through their own hard work. We believe that the current system of handing your money over to another person with little or no incentive to grow your money, other than commissions and fees, is short sighted and has long term dire consequences. We believe in strong, long term financial education for our family, seeing all three sides of the coin and having the courage to stand up for yourself and security of your future.
Will you join us on this journey? Will you join us and grow your nest?
So who is Nest Egg Assets?
Nest Egg Assets is the brainchild of Chad and Stephanie, life partners, business partners and parents.
A bit about Chad… As a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states, Chad has developed a 10-year track record of success in the energy efficiency industry and over $200 million in projects for his customers. Thanks to his parents, Chad learned about rental real estate from a young age. His love of building and creation comes from doing home improvements with his family, as well as spending his college summers framing houses to help pay for school.
Chad engaged his ingrained real estate experience from childhood and coupled it with his business acumen as an advocate for the education of families in wealth creation and preservation, investing in real estate and energy efficiency for all. He is the co-founder and COO of Nest Egg Assets, LLC.
And a bit about Stephanie… With over 15 years of strategic, Global management experience, Stephanie has developed a track record of success and leadership in operational excellence prior to becoming co-founder and CEO of Nest Egg Assets, LLC. After more than a decade at Google Inc. and as a mother, Stephanie is focused on helping others build wealth for themselves and for their families. She is Vice-President of the board of Gemini Crickets of Silicon Valley, a non-profit organization, focused on bettering the lives of parents of multiples and a member of several professional women’s associations, including the National Association of Professional Women and American Business Women Association.
And a bit about us… We moved to California from Boston in early 2012 and quickly realized that we needed to do more for our future than just “have a good job” and “save in our 401(k).” We founded Nest Egg Assets in January of 2013 and have spent our time since, educating ourselves to be financially fit and focusing on building our wealth for our future and for our family! We are investors, but more than that we are financiers.
What we have achieved… so far
We have capitalized on this education through focused planning, intelligent tracking & metrics and even better diversified investing. These wealth building strategies are the “secrets” that the ultra wealthy have been using for centuries and those that we have successfully implemented. We have directly and dramatically improved our lives and the lives of our children for the long term. We want to share our success with you and help you build a bigger nest.
In 2015, we had 2 primary goals:
1. Build a 6-figure emergency fund… from scratch
2. Grow our real estate transaction base by 2x over what we did in 2014
We achieved both goals, ending the year with over $1 million in assets under management. This brings our 3 years of activity to over $5M of various real estate finance and development projects and puts us in a great spot for 2016! The reason that we were able to achieve these two goals was because of the previous systems and processes that we have put in place in our personal financial landscape. The same systems and processes that we hope to have each of our readers learn and implement.
This blog is a manifestation of our passion to help bring financial education to everyone. By sharing what we have learned with others, we hope to help others become financially fit and free! It’s about helping people learn and take action and teach the next person along the way. Because it takes a team!
We will be sharing our first Blog of content in the next couple weeks, initially focused on an Introduction to Real Estate Investing.
We’ll include our 3 Secrets to Getting Starting in Real Estate Investing and other tasty tidbits!
